Kalea McNeill is an actor/standup comedian from the bay area. She gained a love for performance at an early age through various plays, oratorical competitions, and community events. She went on to attend Clark Atlanta University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts. During her matriculation, Kalea hosted many live shows and events on campus and throughout the city of Atlanta, honing in on her quick wit and signature style. In 2013 Kalea decided to make the move from Atlanta to Los Angeles to be closer to her dreams. Even though Kalea’s heart was in acting, she knew that she had a gift in standup comedy. Kalea hit the standup scene hard performing in legendary clubs such as The Comedy Union, Flappers, and The Comedy Store. In 2017 Kalea booked her first television role as a costar on TNT’s Animal Kingdom. Since then she has booked a recurring role on CW’s Crazy Ex Girlfriend (season 4), and various guest/costar spots on FX, CBS, TruTV and TNT. In 2019 Kalea dropped her first standup special via Amazon Prime Video’s series “Laugh After Dark” (season 2 episode 12). More recently you can catch Kalea in the dynamic season 4 opener of S.W.A.T. on CBS.
